19mm String Spacing: The 4-string layout maintains a traditional 19mm spacing at the bridge, keeping the spacing familiar for players transitioning from standard 4-string basses.
Production Electronics & Control Layout
Rupert Neve Designs Preamp: Includes a studio-grade, 2-band active EQ tailored by Rupert Neve Designs to allow deep bass boosts and clear treble sculpting without masking mid-range frequencies.
The Traditional Blend Knob: Departs entirely from the standard Combustion's 4-way rotary dial. It implements an old-school bridge/neck pickup blend panner paired with a master volume and a master tone control that works flawlessly in both active and passive modes.
3-Way Mode Toggle:
Up Position: Solos the middle FD3n neodymium pickup to access an ultra-fat, punchy, traditional "P-Bass style" tone.
Middle Position: Melds the middle pickup with whatever configuration is dialed into the bridge/neck blend panner, unlocking all three pickups simultaneously.
Down Position: Bypasses the middle pickup entirely, relying strictly on the neck/bridge blend panner.
